Allow Azure Data Explorer (ADX) Private Endpoint access to Azure Monitor

Allow ADX with Private Endpoint to securely connect to Azure Monitor (LAW) public endpoints, OR

Support AMPLS (Azure Monitor Private Link Scope) integration for ADX, enabling private and secure cross-service communication.

Issue:

When Azure Data Explorer (ADX) is configured with a Private Endpoint (PE), it loses the ability to perform cross-service queries against Azure Monitor / Log Analytics (LAW).

This limitation prevents critical analytics and monitoring use cases where organizations rely on cross-querying LAW data from ADX for unified dashboards, compliance reporting with custom datasets or levering ADX data source in Azure workbooks.

ADX cannot reach Azure Monitor’s public endpoints when PE is enabled, and AMPLS (Azure Monitor Private Link Scope) is not supported for ADX, leaving no secure private networking option available.

Business Value:

This enhancement will restore secure, supported cross-query functionality for ADX-based analytics and Azure Workbooks without requiring public exposure or redundant data ingestion.
