Allow Adjustable Size for Search Box in List Filter Visual

Problem:

• The default search box is too small to be comfortably used by many users.

• Text gets cut off, making it hard to review or edit search terms.

• Users cannot resize or style the search box to meet their accessibility needs.

• This may not fully reflect Power BI’s broader intent to support accessibility and customizable experiences.

Proposed Solution:

Introduce an option to adjust the size of the search box in the List filter visual, including:

• Adjustable width and height via the visual formatting pane.

• Option to change font size and input padding for better readability.

• Responsiveness based on screen resolution or slicer size.

Benefits:

• Improves accessibility for users with visual or motor impairments.

• Enhances usability and readability in dashboards with dense filters or long search terms.

• Brings consistency with Power BI’s customizable UI philosophy.

This small but impactful change would greatly improve user experience across a wide range of use cases and aligns with accessibility best practices.
