Allow API Endpoint For Retrieving PBIT (Power BI Template File) From Existing Dashboards

I would like to request that an API endpoint be exposed for the purpose of programmatically collecting PBIT files from dashboards published to the Power BI web environment. This would serve the community by enabling automated metadata harvesting as it relates to data lineage.
Power BI already exposes metadata for Pro subscribers via API, which allows for integration into many metadata management systems. This is a very helpful feature, but it's also incomplete as it exists now. There is no conventional manner of harvesting metadata that can be utilized for data lineage tracking.
Take for example, OpenMetadata. Their documentation (https://docs.open-metadata.org/latest/connectors/dashboard/powerbi/powerbi-pbit-lineage) advises to follow the Microsoft docs for retrieving a PBIT file--essentially manually exporting the file via Power BI Desktop--and uploading the file somewhere that it can be consumed by OpenMetadata (e.g., an Azure datalake bucket, S3 bucket, ...).
As it stands, this process could be improved by providing the ability to retrieve PBIT files for existing dashboards via API. With this functionality, it would become possible to harvest PBIT files for Power BI dashboards via automated processes. The integration of the PBIT data could then also be automated, allowing for stronger and more robust integration with with metadata management solutions.
This improvement would pave the way for including Power BI dashboards in many services that are powered by metadata management systems, allowing Power BI to be evermore integrated with the diverse and dynamic data stacks used by modern businesses.
