Alerts don't support unicode

The e-mail and notifications that are sent for 'alerts's thresholds doesn't support non-us chars. The localized version (in my case swedish) doesn't work. The translated text comes though with garbage chars instead of Swedish chars e.g. ÅÄÖåäö.
