If you don't want to use the default aggregation in a field (usually SUM), you can change it a visual by right-clicking on the field and choosing a different aggregation. Or, to change the default, you can choose a different default aggregation in Table view. The Table view list of options, however, is missing three options that are available to the visual: Standard deviation, variance and - most importantly, median.
I know you could do all this with measures in DAX, and probably shouldn't be using implicit measures and default aggregations - but I was running an introductory training course, and we haven't got that far yet!
Could you please add the missing options to the table view, so that the two lists match?
