Adjust grid size

Add the ability to control the size of the grid in Power BI. It's great to have snap-to-grid functionality and gridlines in Power BI Desktop. However, I haven't used this feature much because the standard grid size is not useful for my particular reports. I need the ability to change the size of the grid to make it more/less dense depending on my scenario.

I'd like to add centering the grid. I don't understand how it is even useful without being centered on the canvas.

The grid is massive for standard size reports- ability to change the grid size would improve things considerably.

Needed badly. Sometimes it seems to have a smaller grid size. But the default size is far too big.

Question is almost 7 years open so a little speed will help.

Need this ASAP it is been asked for quite sometime. The space between the slicers or visuals has to be adjusted automatically. Which is common in Tableau.

I would also find it useful to have a grid layout you could set completely manually. A way to select the height and width of visuals/slicers to a limited set of sizes which would fit (say) four or eight across the page without having to manually set the size and then see it change when you position by dragging. Then snap to positions which suited consistent gaps between these consistently sizes objects. I do this manually but it wastes hours every week especially as Power BI doesn't seem to like pixel-based positioning even though it uses it.

We now use a form to calculate the size and positions of the objects. With a adjustable grid this won't be neccessary.

Power BI needs to evolve. Still many simple SSRS tasks are missing.

Here's hoping this feature gets added. There are workarounds (e.g., creating grid shapes that you use to align), but it is a pain to maintain or change. Can't tell you how much time I waste trying to align objects in Power BI simply because we can't alter the grid size. Having this feature would go a long way in making it easier to maintain/standardize report designs at scale for numerous reports in an org.
