Adding pictures or shapes to canvas

Is there any way to add shape/picture support? And make it easy to add texts inside of the shapes?

Rectangles, Circles, and Arrows. The business scenario is: sometimes we need to show information flow and sometimes we need to highlight certain "cards/callouts".

Infographics are really great. If we have a shape tool and formatting set that can help achieve this kind of reporting style that would be cooler than peanut butter and jam.

The shapes are created in Reports but then do not show up in Dashboards
