Description:
Currently, in Power BI, when creating or updating a Bookmark, we have the option to choose “Selected visuals” — which is extremely useful for managing interactions on specific visuals without affecting the entire page.
However, after a bookmark is created, there is no way to see or identify which visuals were selected at the time of creation or last update. This makes it difficult to maintain and update reports, especially in complex dashboards with many visuals and bookmarks.
Why this feature is important:
Helps report developers quickly understand what a bookmark controls.
Prevents accidental overwriting of bookmark states.
Reduces confusion and rework when maintaining reports over time.
Improves collaboration — multiple developers can easily understand bookmark behavior without guessing or visually testing each one.
Suggested enhancements:
Add a “View included visuals” or “Show visuals in this bookmark” option (for example, via right-click on a bookmark or in the Bookmarks pane).
Highlight the visuals that belong to the selected bookmark on the canvas (maybe with a temporary border or overlay).
Include this information in the Bookmark properties pane or as a tooltip.
This feature would make Power BI Bookmarks much more transparent and easier to manage — especially for teams building interactive or dynamic reports.
