Add the Power Pivot data model designer into Power BI Designer

I have clients who would like to use Power BI Designer to author data models and reports, but it's difficult without the data model designer that's available in Power Pivot (for excel). Please add the option to open the data model designer!

So you guys released PowerBI 2.0 GA today, and released the new Power BI Desktop and still can't load PowerPivot Excel file into it? But you can do that on the app, just not the Desktop. Any timeframe for when it's going to be implemented?

It will really be must to open excel data model in the Designer. It wasn't in the release 24.jul, du you mean in August update?
