Add "Save As" Prompt When Exporting to PDF from PBIX Reports

Currently, when exporting a Power BI Desktop report (PBIX) to PDF using File > Export > Export to PDF, the process generates the PDF automatically and opens it—without prompting the user to save it to a specific location or rename it.

This can be frustrating, especially when:

• Users want to name the file before saving

• Files are exported to a temporary folder by default

• Files get overwritten without warning

Proposed Improvement:

Please add a “Save As” prompt when users choose to export a report to PDF. This would allow users to:

• Choose a folder/location

• Enter a custom file name

• Avoid having to move the file after export

• Prevent accidental overwrites

Optional Enhancement:

Include a setting under File > Options > Export:

Prompt “Save As” on PDF export

This would allow users to turn the feature on or off based on preference.
