Add others options to TopN Filter

Add "Others" option to the current TopN feature. That would greatly advance user experience as it allows to compress the data set, highlight the most important insights (e.g. Top 5 Sales), but still gives an overview of all of the data.

This feature would also be nice in the Treemap visual!

The key here is that the group is dynamic. The group by feature is a static grouping. That does not work for a dynamically filtered dataset. An option to display TopN + All other is what is needed.

It´s very necessary this functionality, do this with DAX it´s very complicate. Other BI tools have this functionality with a simple check box.

I'm surprised this has not received more traction. There exists numerous articles and blogs guiding people how to achieve this (in a very convoluted way), so the demand is surely there. Please do merge with the other similar "TopN + Others" requests to give it the weight it deserves.

Works in many other tools, so this is really needed.

I am creating a monthly profitability matrix on top 10 customers and it would be great to have an "other" bucket to represent the customers not in the top 10!

For all visuals we need the option in TOPN filter type, inside the "Show items:" dropdown box, the "Top + "Others"" and "Bottom + "Others"" options, so when a user specifies, for instances, "3" the visual should show the first or last 3 label and besides a 4th label, grouping the rest as "Others" for all kind of visuals... You should keep the "Top" and "Bottom" options as well... Best regards

It would be awesome if you could configure a dynamic 'TopN' group and have Power BI automatically group everyone else 'Not in TopN' into a separate 'Others' group so the values could be displayed in the same chart. There is currently no straightforward way to achieve this.

I'm working with big numbered "legend" dimensions Like 133 Agents or 1030 items models. I'd need to be able to show the first X by ranking and then group the others as "Other". For now the only way i found was by adding a column but that is static solution. I'd like to be able to make a pie with first x items and one "other" that is responsive to filters like nation or date or client etc.. I can't see a way out except by let the visual handle it but for now they can't
