Add or remove column from Lakehouse table

When adding or removing a column from a Lakehouse table, the table stops working in the SQL endpoint and Power BI semantic model.

I hope this can be fixed, so that adding or removing columns from a Lakehouse table becomes a valid option.

It seems to me that adding colum is now working. That is very useful for working with Lakehouse together with Direct Lake Semantic Model 🙂

I am able to use the following syntax in notebook cell to add columns to Lakehouse table "%%sql ALTER TABLE tableName ADD COLUMN columnName columnType;" and the table keeps working in the SQL endpoint and semantic model.

Could you please confirm that this is supported, as this seems to be working now but didn't work earlier?

Remove column doesn't seem to work yet. I think that will also be a useful feature for working with Lakehouse in conjunction with Direct Lake Semantic Model.
