The September release of Power BI Desktop includes a preview of forecasting. Enable it by going into Options > Preview Settings. Once you enable the preview, you'll find it in the analytics pane.

Too big a feature to leave out - huge selling point

Our CEO is asking for such feature, and now it's gone :( Please put it back ASAP.

Thought this was very cool. Demos with couple of clients had them hooked. Very disappointed that it is still out for maintenance/improvements. This would be a huge win with clientbase. Please bring it back and maybe by next week, in time for my next demo!

What were the main reasons it was removed?

Hi, I just had to redesign my data structure to be able to calculate projected sales and it took me more then a day. If the forecasting feature was still available I wouldn't have had to spend time to write and test the calculations. Please bring this feature back.

I am currently testing SAP LUMIRA which has a forecast option deploying analytics and tripple exponential smoothing.... You MUST provide something similar if you want to successfully compete!!
