Add a "snap to grid" like functionality to Power BI Desktop

Creating a clean, consistent layout in reports is very difficult in the Power BI desktop tool. Please consider adding a customizable layout grid that objects can snap to like PowerPoint. Thanks!

Tabs would also be very useful to put more information in the same screen, sharing the same filters.

Something like QlikSense which does it well

Specifying the grid size would be great

Here is what I would expect from a snap to grid feature: a) Allow users to specify grid size b) Being able to zoom in/out would refine the grid (like in office applications -- I know Power BI isn't office, but the functionality found in office is spot-on). c) Hide/show grid should work independently from snap to grid. d) make sure that grid does not disappear based on the colour of the background (e.g. black grid against black background).

It would be also cool to have rulers on the edges and once you drag edges of a diagram, a notch would appear on the ruler. Just like it is in Visio.

Make it like visio - snap to edges (or midpoints) of other objects

Is there a target for this? Being able to move things around with the arrow keys instead of just the the mouse.

'@Pedro Innecco has it nailed down, but I would humbly add that the ability to snap - align would also be very desirable. EG. When dragging a control near another one, and coloured guide appear allowing you to line top / bottom edge up with the correct margin. Thank you for your efforts!

There should be two options for Snap to Grid. Either you specify that the entire visualization like a Matrix or Table is one big "tile" or box to snap to grid, or you can specify that the columns and rows within the Matrix or Table is a Snap to grid. That way multiple matrix boxes can have all columns line up so you don't waste time carefully sizing each column in each visualization with each other.
