Add Weeks to Date Hierarchy

I base many of my reports on weekly data and the fact that the current date hierarchy skips weeks is mind boggling. I realize there is a way to create a custom date hierarchy by adding a separate date table, but the fact that I have to do all that extra stuff just to include weeks is crazy to me. So if it is possible to add that feature I think it would be of great use to many people.
