I'm not sure this exactly suits your needs but the SandDance custom visual offers a similar functionality. Each data point is represented as a 'grain of sand' on the chart and you can see the associated attributes of selected 'grains'. It works particularly well with outlier data

This feature is especially useful in the map context, as it is often hard to filter on data points that are closely related by geo location, but not necessarily sharing other attributes. This feature is for example essential for network providers that need to identify how the reach or influence of collocated equipment is. Please consider to add this at least to maps.

This is a key feature for us missing in PBI. Qlik provides this native out of box. its a powerful capability for business users to use when driving into the why of a problem.

Very important feature. Especially when using Maps or Scatter Graphs. I was previously using this in Tibco Spotfire and was of great use. Hope to see it soon in PBI.

Agree with the comments about spotfire. The lack of this feature is a key limitation to our current adoption.

Hello There, Great info! I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don’t know what to say except that I have I have a column with Month data and I wanted to filter the charts based on Month whenever user opens the report. Awesome! Thanks for putting this all in one place. Very useful! Gracias Preethi
