Ability to show SharePoint site/page in content area of navigation app

Currently you are only able to include a SharePoint page/site to open in a new tab or replace the current tab. Currently, if you try to choose "content area" you get an error "This content can’t be shown in a frame". It would be great to be able to embed SharePoint pages. My current use case is I'd like to create informational SharePoint Wiki pages on our team site and then surface them in in the nav apps for our report users. It would be even better if I can embed just the wiki page content and not the template left menu content that is standard on SharePoint sites and takes up valuable real estate.

The same behavior also occurs when attempting to "Add Link" in the new app experience. You aren't able to view the results in the content area - only can in a new or replace current tab mode.
