I wanted an ability where data types like record, table, binary could be sent to the lakehouse and data warehouse. Currently that's not supported and I would like to have that ability via gen2 data flows to allow for optimizations on operating on these types and make them accessible to subsequent dataflows and notebooks.
a prime example is utilizing this for excel workbooks to be able to store their binary data or send it via the dataflow. Or being able to open workbooks and send the sheets table data to the lakehouse or warehouse or another data store.
