Why is this so hard, Microsoft? We need this! Also, no comments from the Power BI team tells you something about how the product roadmap is being managed. Sheesh!!

100% needed. When data sets are huge, a stored procedure to capture just the info needed is an absolute must.

In my opinion this is one of the most important features we need and I don't even understand why Microsoft considers this an afterthought.

Absolutely need it. SAS can make a similar thing to this work, I am sure Microsoft can too.

Large companies often have many datasets in direct query due to the need to always have up-to-date data for decision making. In some cases, stored procedures can be an important resource to improve query performance.
