Ability to put categorical field on the axis when creating scatter plots with power-bi

Just as values in a table can give a "do not Summarize" option, can we get a "do not summarize" option on the axis when creating a scatter plot? Its hard to generate good scatter plots when you are not able to put categorical fields on the axis.

This is a major pain for me and seems like something so simple it's weird its been overlooked?

Without the ability to draw scatter plots that don't aggregate the data, I'm simply not going to use PowerBI.

If Power BI is not even able to do the most simple feature that any other dashboard software can why sould one use it?

Can't seem to vote anymore with 3 points, guess that was changed. In any case I do agree this is a good change!

I completely agree! So many uses for a scatter plot when you can have categorical axis, not just continuous.

I understand this can be accomplished with R but sure hate to go that route. Please add this to the standard PBI scatter plot.

This takes 30 seconds in excel, I shouldn't have to write R script to perform basic excel functions.

Cannot believe this is still unresolved

I can't believe this isn't a feature already. Scatter plot is useless for me the way it is now.
