It would be great to be able to add a grand total column/row to a column/bar chart. For instance, if I have four sales regions and I plot sales by region on a clustered column chart, I would like to be able to add a fifth column that shows the total for all regions. Similar to this functionality in Tableau: http://onlinehelp.tableau.com/current/pro/online/mac/en-us/calculations_totals_grandtotal_turnon.html
I don't agree this is a duplicate. The other idea is about labelling the columns/bars in a stacked bar chart. This is about adding an extra bar to show the overall total of other bars/columns on the chart.
I agree with Paul below, the comment that this issue is a duplicate of the other post is inaccurate. The ability to add a total bar to a bar chart is a huge issue that Microsoft also missed in Excel as well. Tableau got it right.
Yes, I am also struggling to create the totals in a budget vs. actual bridge chart. Excel does have this functionality but Power BI does not. Anybody can please help with this?
I cannot believe this only has 48 votes!!! I've worked around this creating an additional chart with the total just right the other. The problem is when you apply filters, the charts change their layout/size and they are not aligned to the total chart, looking awful. I really cannot believe only 48 votes.. really? and it is definitely not a duplicate of the other 'label' request...
