ADF Pipeline Web activity to support REST datasets as Copy data activity does today.

Attending PASS Community Summit and hearing both ADF presenters Todd McDermid and Martin Schoombee both talk about the lack of support in the Web Activity and personally experiencing the pain of this missing capability, it seems like this would be a significant contribution to the product. As more and more data engineers are being faced with REST API connection from the classic relational database connection, this feature becomes more appreciated.

It SEEMS like an easy addition, but I suspect, as always, things are a little more complicate than we'd think. Microsoft, please let us know whether there are roadblocks or key infrastructure redesign that necessitates this waiting - we are pretty understanding.

I will connect with some vocal ADF data engineers and see if you could add a vote and perhaps some dialogue on how this would make them happier.
