Hi experts:
I have encountered an issue with legends fall into different color for the same report, same data in Chrome and IE browsers. Please see the screenshots below:
IE Browser:
Chrome browser:
Both screens are from the same dataset, I constructed this report in PowerBI Desktop in a remote desktop, the IE screen is what displayed in the PBI desktop. However, most of the users will see the report in Chrome. Is there a way to get the legend colors consistent? Or this is a PBI default config that through different browsers, the legend will have different fall back colors?
Please help, any clue will be highly appreciated!
Hi @Anonymous ,
I'm sorry I can't reproduce your problem, I tried to open the report in a different browser and the data color of visual are displayed in the same color as in Power BI Desktop. Do you have any theme applied (system or custom theme)? What is the data source connect to? Could you please explain what you did in Power BI Desktop and how you set the visuals? If it is convenient, could you please provide your sample pbix file(exclude sensitive data) in order to make troubleshooting? Thank you.
Open in IE Browser
Open in Edge browser
Open in Chrome browser
Best Regards
Hi there:
Please see the screenshots below:
Chrome:
PBI Desktop:
Edge:
Do you have any theme applied (system or custom theme)? Yes, I have set this customized theme across all the tabs through this report.
What is the data source connect to? ODBC driver connector to MongoDB.
Could you please explain what you did in Power BI Desktop and how you set the visuals? I have multiple visuals across this report, however, each type visual have exactly same style config.
If it is convenient, could you please provide your sample pbix file(exclude sensitive data) in order to make troubleshooting? Sorry I am not able to do that as it's for internal use only. However, I am able to provide visibility of a trouble session is possible.
One more thing I would like to mention is I am using PowerBI Embed React JS component to display this report in this internal UI. Not sure if the embedding component will cause any browser compatibility issues.
Please let me know what you think, any help is highly appreciated!
Best.
