is it possible to call Microsoft.PowerBI.Api.V2 from .Net Framework 4.0 ?

Hi All,

 

I am working on PowerBI Embedded application for App own data and it is working fine with out any issues. I am using .net framework 4.5 and Microsoft.PowerBI.API.V2. 

 

Based on my findings it is not possible to have PowerBI API.V2 under .Net framework 4.0 as the PowerBI dependency packages need .NET Framework 4.5

 

If i got it correctly Microsoft.PowerBI.API.V2 is a RESTFULL service. If so then why cant we consume this API from .NET Framework 4.0 ?

 

Any help would be deeply appreciated.
