Hi,
is it possible to connect many reports in different workspaces to the same dataset? I am talking about the same report that is published to different workspaces, and that has the same dataset. I need to do that, so i can to refresh one dataset instead of refreshing many datasets. Thanks.
Hi @AliT ,
Please connect to Power BI dataset.
Note: Now you can use Direct Query mode to connect to Power BI dataset in Power BI Desktop.
Best regards,
Lionel Chen

Hi @ v-lionel-msft
thanks you for your response. Actually, I have tried this before; however, i always get the error message"We couldn't connect to your model in the Power BI Service. The dataset may have been deleted, renamed, moved, or it is possible that you don't have permission to access it.". Please note that i am using the latest version of Power BI Desktop (March 2021), and that The account I use to make the connection to the dataset is the owner of the dataset. I have presented the same question before on this link https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Developer/live-connection-problem/m-p/1666853#M27855, where somebody has stated that it was solved, but it was not. Thanks again.
