[custom visual API] is it possible to get automatically generated clusters of dimension members?

Can a user generate automatically bins/clusters/sub-groups of dimension members by some measure value (using K-means, for example), and can those be accessed by the Custom Visuals API?

    HI Anonymous,

    Measures not able to be used as categories or axis on charts to generate corresponding values, so I think you can't use integrate API in custom visual to achieve your requirement.

    If you have a rest API with analysis functions to generate a table based on input parameters, it is possible to use it on the power bi side with query parameters to get the result table.

    But the backend query tables not able to interact with front side data view measures or filters. They are host on different levels and you can't use child level to affect its parent.

    Notice: the data level of power bi.

    Database(external) -> query table(query, custom function, query parameters) -> data model table(table, calculate column/table) -> data view with virtual tables(measure, visual, filter, slicer)
