Will an on prem MySQL gateway work with PowerBI Embedded?

Hi. We've set-up a MySQL gateway on an Azure virtual machine to act as bridge between Digital Ocean and PowerBI. Will this gateway work with PowerBI Embedded?

Any help would be much appreciated, I just want to check whether we're going down the right path as this is way out of our comfort zone. Many thanks,
