I was waiting for this functionality, and it missed it's estimated release timeline. I can't find it on the release plan anymore

Based on my research, there is currently no official documentation or blog post that specifies the release date for the Power BI Embedded over Direct Lake feature.
Learn about Direct Lake in Power BI and Microsoft Fabric - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn
However, I recommend following the official Power BI blog or Power BI release notes for the latest updates and announcements related to Direct Lake.
