Using Microsoft Gantt chart in Power BI. Slicer date to change timeline
- 1 year ago
I found a way to build a gantt chart with a time line of the task in sequetial way, excluding the slicer. It was a combination of custom columns in my main table and DAXs.

Hi lacruzad ,
Just to clarify, are you looking to filter only the visible tasks based on the slicer, or are you also trying to limit the entire Gantt chart timeline (date axis) to match the slicer range?
Thank you.

Hi Menaka
I really appreciate the information, but more than a solution, your response was a guidance. It's importante to differenciate that in this community. There is not a final solution in my case, just an alternative that it doesn´t satisfy the expectations and that alternative was created base in the shared information. From my point of view, it was a help and guidance, more than a solution. That's something to indicate as an option in this community.

Hi lacruzad ,
The information shared was more of a guide to explore options, given the current limits of the Microsoft Gantt visual.
Your workaround is a great reference for others, even if it’s not a perfect fit.
The need for the Gantt timeline to respond to slicers is clear, and with more feedback, hopefully it’s something we’ll see improved in the future.
Thank you and Regards,
Menaka.
