Using Bing Maps in Power BI - Unable to connect to the remote server
Hi, I have been using Bing Maps in Power BI dashboard for a few months now, and it has always been working fine, but lately, I am getting this error message multiple times a day whenever I refresh the dashboard. Could anyone please help me?
This is the error message:
An error occurred while processing the data in the dataset.
Refresh failed:
Dashboard has failed to refresh.
Failure details: The last refresh attempt failed because of an internal service error. This is usually a transient issue. If you try again later and still see this message, contact support.

According to the error message this could be an intermittent issue, you can refresh the dashboard to see if it shows up properly.
You can try checking the content:
Check if your network has any firewalls or proxy servers that might be blocking the connection to Bing Maps. Ensure that the Power BI gateway can access external websites like Bing Maps.
Is your power bi desktop up to date, if not, you can update it and republish it to Power BI Service at the following link.
