Updated Azure AD Token, Broke Embedded Reports

Users are reporting that exporting to PDF and PowerPoint from an embedded sharepoint report are not functioning. When clicking on either option, nothing happens. Analyze in Excel appears to work.

Not sure if this is a coincidence, but while testing Power BI Embedded, I accidentally created a new Azure AD token for my Power BI SPN while following the Postman documentation here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/developer/embedded/embed-tokens?tabs=embed-for-customers#....

Attempting to download the the file for the report yields a 401 error at https://wabi-us-east2-b-primary-redirect.analysis.windows.net/metadata/gallery/SharedDatasets/

Is there something I can do to resolve this?

Hi @badac002 ,

If I understand correctly, it seems that you embedded a Power BI report in Sharepoint. And you are trying to export this report to PDF or PowerPoint in Sharepoint, but it is not working. Am I right? There could be a few reasons why you're unable to export a Power BI embedded report in SharePoint to PDF or PowerPoint. To troubleshoot this issue, you can try the following steps:

1. Check with the report author or SharePoint administrator to see if the export feature has been disabled. --it seems OK in your side since you can see the options under the Export menu.

2. Ensure that you have the necessary permissions to export the report.

Solved: Export from Power BI report embedded in SharePoint... - Microsoft Fabric Community

3. Try exporting the report from a different browser or device to see if the issue persists.

4. Whether can export this report to PDF or PowerPoint in Power BI Service?

5. Did you install PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat?

Best Regards
