Unable to connect Azure Databricks from Power BI (ODBC error)

Can someone help on my issue:

 

Error is:

 

Unable to Connect

 

Encountered an error while trying to connect:

Details: "ODBC: ERROR [HY000] [Microsoft][ThriftExtension] (14) Unexpected response from server during a HTTP connection: SSL_connect: certificate verify failed."

 

I am trying to connect from On premise power BI gateway server.

Hi @hiranyadeka ,

Thanks for reaching out to us with your problem. According to the error message,  it seems that there is a problem with the SSL certificate used in the connection between Power BI and Azure Databricks. In order to make further troubleshooting and give you a suitable solution, could you please check the following info? It would be helpful to find the solution. Thank you.

  • Check the Certificate:
    - Ensure that the SSL certificate installed on the Databricks server is valid and has not expired.
    - Verify that the certificate is issued by a trusted Certificate Authority (CA).
  • Configure SSL Settings: 
    - In the gateway settings, ensure that the SSL settings are correctly configured to trust the certificate chain.
    - If necessary, you may need to import the CA's root certificate into the gateway's trusted store.
