Streaming dataset - historical data analysis - for how long data is stored?

Hi,

I'm looking for an alternative database for SharePoint. 
For how long records are stored in a streaming dataset with the option 'historic data analysis' enabled?

I want to add records every day and have the dashboard display data from at least the last year.
