We're trying to organize our reporting strategy across internal and external consumers. To date, we've only used Power BI internally, using PBI Pro licenses for developers and consumers. While this has worked to this point, we're experiencing high levels of fragmentation across datasets (inconsistent refresh intervals) and we need to standardize the data in preparation for external customers. We've begun experimenting with Dataflows in a PPU workspace, though we're being told this may be overkill and we could accomplish the same goals using PBI-Pro features. We've also been trying to see if an Azure Data Lake would be a better option to create the data warehouse for all reporting Our goals are the following:
Looking for some anecdotes on how people have achieved the goals and what pitfalls we could be walking towards.
Thanks in advance.

Hi @eauerbachML ,
1.You can learn more about the usage of dataflow from this blog:https://radacad.com/what-are-the-use-cases-of-dataflow-for-you-in-power-bi
2. Pro license is ok:https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/use-power-bi
3: You can refer to Embed Power BI content for customer .
After you've completed developing your application, to move to production you'll need to back your workspace with a capacity.
Power BI Premium - A tenant-level Microsoft 356 subscription available in two SKU families, EM and P. When embedding Power BI content, this solution is referred to as Power BI embedding. For more information regarding this subscription, see What is Power BI Premium?
