Slicer based on child table values

I have a simple two table model, sales and salesperson. I want a slicer using the SalespersonName from salesperson, but only show the salespeersons in Sales. When I add the slicer and drop in salesperson name I get all salespersons, many of whom have do not have any sales and it just clutters up the slicer.

Is there any way to filter a slicer based on what is in the child table?

I think my only option is to create a view of just salespeople on sales orders.

Only thing I can think of is possibly use the disconnected table trick.
