Slicer and Filter pane checked value synchronization

I am working on a report which has slicers and filters, some of which are based on the same field.

Suppose that we have we have the field Group that we apply first a selection on the slicer, value ADMIN, and then another selection on the filter pane, value ADMIN HD. When expaning the slicer after applying the second selection both values are visible but the value selected from the filter pane does not have the checked sign. This can cause a lot of confusion. 

Is it possible to change the settings of the slicer somehow so that it shows the checked box also for values selected from the filter pane?
