Run MDX against a Power BI Dataset

Hi ,

I know behind the scenes that DAX is converted into MDX and then ran against the SSAS tabular model (vertipax engine). What Im wondering is if there is a way to programatically connect to a hosted power BI dataset then run a MDX query ourselves? Via an API

Alternatively another programatically way of returning the data from a Power BI dataset.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
