Release of resources when exporttofile gets returned

Hi everyone!

When using exporttofile REST API to export a non-paginated report, once we receive the success/failure response do the resources that were being utilized get released immediately or after a period of time? We have a case on an A1 SKU that whenever we get done with a few export jobs(successes in almost all of the time), it takes some time for Export workload to show a reduction in CPU utilization.
