I usually use a SQL connector for PowerBI reports but I needed to use ODBC for a new Power BI report (I have an ODBC connection via my On-Prem gateway). Both manual and scheduled refreshes work fine but attempting to initiate a data refresh using Power Automate runs and never completes. Other reports with the SQL connector work fine using Power Automate to refresh datasets.
My licensing is PowerBI Pro and Power Automate Per User with Attended RPA Plan.
Why would dataset refresh work (either scheduled or manual) via PowerBI but fail if initiating a refesh from Power Automate?
