Hi,
We are using power bi embedded with the app owns data scenario. As part of this we need to copy reports from a base workspace to a customer workspace using the Power BI Rest API. To do this we are following the recommended export /import pbix approach but there is a limitation that auto increment reports cannot be exported. I have two issues:
1. Is there a good way to identify as report (or it's dataset) as having auto increment enabled?
2. Is there a way to clone the report and then create a new dataset using the api responses for the dataset.
Thanks for your help.
1. A dataset data source with incremental refresh enabled (and working) will have more than one partition
2. You can programmatically disable incremental refresh through XMLA queries (by merging all partitions into one, or by changing the partition definition). Then you can get the PBIX and upload it again. You can programmatically re-enable partitions/incremental refresh through XMLA queries..
