PowerBI dataset size memory issue

I am trying to store around 1 million records using PoweBI API

endpoint - /v1.0/myorg/groups/{groupid}/datasets/{datasetid}/tables/{TableName}/rows

csv file which is containing whole data is of around 89 MB, but when it is inserting records it becomes more then 1 GB.

And power bi returns data size error and do not insert further data, and same data when i am processing again in different dataset it fits into 51MB space.

I want to know insights how power bi is processing data.

Note: workspace is same for both datasets.

Thanks!

Hi @Anonymous ,

Firstly, which are your current license in Power BI, free/pro/premium?

There's a 1-GB limit per dataset that is imported into Power BI, unless the workspace is in a Power BI Premium capacity. See the Large datasets section of What is Power BI Premium?

For reference: What is Microsoft Power BI Premium? - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
