PowerBI Paginated Embedded Not Feasible

Please clarify - are you concerned about embedding, or exporting?

Currently I'm developing a "web portal" that will display Embedded Paginated Reports. The portal should have the Export functionality feature (API Call).  The documentation about how to enable emdeded Paginated Reports Embedded AND How to add an Export call to it is a bit misleading.

 

Apparently you can only use Service Principal for Paginated embeded, but acourding to the docs it doens't allow exporting via Service principal?!

    Hi belisqui ,

     

    If your data source is a dataset in Power BI Service, service principals are not supported.

    So for the export functionality feature , I think you may need to take other authentication.
