[PowerBI Embedded] Page Navigation Menu is not Collapsible (or Extendable)

I have a question why is the Page Navigation Menu not Expandable/Collapsable when using PowerBI Embedded. I am using the PowerBI Embedded Library for Angular on our Angular frontend (newest Angular version).

For example if you open up a report from the PowerBI Web APP the ability to collapse/extend the pagination navigation menu is there but PowerBI Embedded does not support this.

In this part of the documentation @https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/javascript/api/overview/powerbi/configure-report-settings#customize-settings we can see that the Pagination Navigation menu can not be expanded, for example that is not the case for the filter menu.

Is this done on purpose, will this be changed or there is some workaround?

Hi, @anchevski_98

Your research is quite thorough. You are correct. currently, page navigation in Power BI Embedded does not support expansion. Here are my test results:

1.Customer embedding:

2.Organisational embedding:

3.Web embedding:

Therefore, our proposed alternative is to set the page navigation bar to be invisible and replace it with inserted elements:

1.Insert icons:

2.Insert a page navigator.

If you feel that performance needs to be improved, you can also submit an idea on

https://ideas.fabric.microsoft.com/ and wait for users with the same needs as you to vote for you and help you realize the idea as soon as possible. Many features of our current products are designed and upgraded bed on customers’ feedback.  With requirements like this increase, the problem may well be released in the future.

Thanks for your understanding.
