PowerBI Dashboard Publishing on PowerBI Service

Hi Team,

I Initially Develped a PowerBI Dashboard and published using MY ID and Given Access to customers . Now i need to Publish the Same dataset with Diffrent ID, and it should not change the URL.

Is there a way to Achieve the above requirement . and it is Highly Visible dataset.

Please let me know on this.

Regards,

Shinooj M

Hi @Anonymous ,

As far as I know, when you publish or republish a dataset which has the same name as the one is existing on Power BI Service.

The new dataset will replace the old one and it will keep the dataset ID. I think the url will be the same as the original one.

So if you only want to publish a new version, you can replace the dataset. If you want to keep the old one, please rename the report name and publish it to Power BI Service.

Rico Zhou
