Hi,
We (Squadra Technologies) are a Microsoft ISV that offer/developed a "SCCM console extension" for "removable media security".
Our solution also provides SQL Reporting Services (SRS) reports (against the SCCM database which is an on-premise SQL database).
The reports are integrated along with the out of the box Microsoft reports so to the SCCM end-user, everything is neatly integrated (which was/is the goal of the "SCCM console extension" framework).
We have developed Power BI visuals (charts, graphs) against the same SCCM data as our reports do.
We want now to integrate the Power BI visuals into our SCCM console extension (WPF app/assembly) to give the SCCM end-user a dashboard that is embedded into the SCCM console (a WPF desktop app).
Microsoft is now presenting many dashboards within the SCCM console and I am assuming that they are using Power BI to accomplish this.
I see that there is Power BI embedded but the documentation seems always to point you back to accessing Azure to get tokens and/or data from a tenant.
I have yet to find any documenation that shows you how to use Power BI embedded against an on-premise database with no dependency on Azure (which is the
So what approach should a SCCM ISV (like Squadra Technologies) take to embed their ISV Power BI visuals into the SCCM console?
Thanks in advance.
