I was informed by the team to work on the Power BI dashboard. I downloaded the dashboard from the workspace and made the required edits using Power BI Desktop. However, after uploading the updated file back to the workspace, the visuals would not load, and I encountered a gateway error.
Through some troubleshooting, I was able to create an on-premise gateway. While the gateway is currently online, I am unable to connect to it properly—it appears to be not configured correctly. I would appreciate any guidance or support to resolve this configuration issue.
Thank you!

Hi @mahekshah,
This usually happens when the dataset isn’t properly mapped to the on-premises data gateway in the Power BI Service. Although the gateway shows “Online,” the connection isn’t configured to match the data source used in your report.
Try these quick steps:
Once the mapping is correct, the “Not configured correctly” message will disappear and your visuals should load normally.
Happy to help!
