Power BI REST API executeQuery failing when passing INFO DAX function

When executing Power BI REST API executeQuery with INFO function in the DAX query is failing with the below error message. This used to work fine previously.

{
"error": {
"code": "DatasetExecuteQueriesError",
"pbi.error": {
"code": "DatasetExecuteQueriesError",
"parameters": {},
"details": [
{
"code": "DetailsMessage",
"detail": {
"type": 1,
"value": "Failed to execute the DAX query."
}
},
{
"code": "AnalysisServicesErrorCode",
"detail": {
"type": 1,
"value": "3239575574"
}
}
]
}
}
}

Any lead on this?

Well, it's no me that will fix the problem, it's Microsoft... I have no clue how it's going, I've only been told they are going to fix it today and if not I'll have a meeting with them on Wednesday , sorry.

Sorry for the previous misdirected reply; I've corrected the @ tag.

We've been waiting ages for this! Having to manually download PBIX files and then execute the INFO DAX function locally—because executeQuery and INFO DAX have issues—is a real pain. Any news from Microsoft on Today would be great!

I have the same problem, I can see there is a same question here: https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Service/DAX-Info-Functions-Against-Published-Datasets/m-p/...

Do you have any success to find out what's going on?

No, still facing the same issue. Looks like some change for the API!

Hi @avg12345 ,

The issue has been reported to the internal team, and they are actively working on it. We will keep you updated on any progress.

Hi @avg12345 ,

Based on your description, it appears that the REST API Datasets - Execute Queries is no longer functioning as expected, despite previously working correctly. However, I tested it yesterday and it was operational. I recommend raising a support ticket to obtain professional assistance from the relevant team to resolve this issue.

Is there an expected date for the services to be back?

Hi @marcio_fornari ,

The related team is working on temporary solution for selected tenants/capacities, I will update you once the relevant testing and validation is done.

Would you be able to clarify what the "selected tenants/capacities" are? I've been watching this thread since the changes have broken our workflows, but I'm not sure if this means that the fixes would be available to all?

I've talked to Microsoft today,  the ETA for the fix is scheduled for 3/24/2025. After this, everything should work as expected.

Hi @v-yiruan-msft  , Today is March 24, 2025. We are still experiencing the Power BI REST API executeQuery failure with INFO DAX. We've been waiting over a month. Is the fix live? If not, when?
