Power BI Licensing | 0365 Admin Obligations?
Hi all,
When a company has O365 and they have an admin present as well, how should I go about talking about purchasing licenses? From my point of view, I just buy my PBI Pro license and I'm good to go to connect, share, etc.
In this case, there's a team of 10 that wants to implement the BI solution I've created. Do I talk to their 0365 Admin and tell him that he needs to get 10 Power BI Pro licenses for his team to see the report? Or are there different bundled packages when doing it from an 0365 account.
Also - does he/she have to give me an account as well so I can Publish to their team workspace? A lot of wacky questions here.. but would really appreciate someone breaking it down for me.

#1, AFAIK, the basic sharing features on power bi required the pro licenses. Since you are working with o365, you can consider choosing E3 subscription if you did not require too many users for power bi pro licenses. (it include some power bi pro licenses that availed before the E3 subscription expired)

If you are working on a report that design with a dataset that does not include any sensitive data, you can consider using publish to web to share, it does not require a pro license. (notice: it also does not include any security settings so everyone who knows the link can be viewed the shared contents)

If you are handling sharing content to large amount users, I'd like to suggest check power bi premium that shares contents based on premium capacity and not required pro licenses.

Are you anywhere near considering a Premium capacity? Or PPU ?
