Power BI Gateway to 32-bit Oracle 11g Instant Client connection
I am trying to create a connection to a 32-bit oracle 11g ODBC, yes, antique I know, but I'm stuck with it :(.
I created an ODBC using the 11g instant client which I can use and works in Power BI Desktop.
Obviously however I need to be able to share reports in Power BI web environment using data from this connection, so I need to have a gateway connection.
The Gateway however does not accept the 32-bit ODBC.
I understand that Gateway is a 64-bit, but I hope there is a workaround maybe?
It is crucial I can make this connection otherwise Power BI is pretty much useless to me.
I'm using the On Premise Gateway (not the personal gateway)
Does anybody know a way to fix this?
Thanks in advance!!!

Hi vlassauw,
I understand that Gateway is a 64-bit, but I hope there is a workaround maybe?
As far as I know, there isn't a possible solution in this scenario. Here is a similar idea shared on Power BI Ideas forum. You can vote it up and add your comments there to improve Power BI on this feature.

Thank you for your respons. Yes, I was afraid of that.
Power BI has a lot of potential but still needs a lot of work in many areas, 32-bit connectivity is surely among those imo.
