We have an Azure AD auth website that supports Power BI embedding (App owns data). We have a Power BI Embedded SKU with a dataset connecting to Azure Analysis Services. We are not using RLS (there are no roles in the database).
When we go to view a Power BI report as a user other than the master account, we get the following error message in the website:
"Creating embed token for accessing dataset <GUID> requires effective identity username to be identical to the caller's principal name"
Most of the issues around Power BI Embedded and Analysis Services seem to revolve around RLS, but we don't even need RLS. If we view the report in the website as the master account, it loads fine.
Are we missing something or is this not supported?
Thanks,
